How We Keep You Safe

Every account is verified with a .edu email address. No anonymous users — everyone on OutRenz is a real student.

After every rental, both parties leave a review. This creates accountability and helps you make informed decisions.

All communication happens through OutRenz's secure messaging system. Never feel pressured to share personal contact info.

We recommend all handoffs happen in public campus locations — libraries, student unions, and campus cafes are great options.

If something goes wrong, our support team is here to mediate fairly and quickly based on documented evidence.

See something off? Report it instantly. Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable. We take every report seriously.

Always meet in a public place on campus for pickups and returns.

Document the condition of items with photos before handing over and upon return.

Use OutRenz's in-app messaging — don't move conversations to other platforms.

Trust your instincts. If something feels off, you can cancel a request.

Never share your personal address, financial details, or passwords.
