Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Sign up with your .edu email address. We verify student status to keep the community safe and trusted.
Is OutRenz free to join?
Yes! Creating an account and browsing is completely free. OutRenz takes a small service fee only when a rental is completed.
Which colleges are supported?
OutRenz is available at 50+ campuses and growing. If your campus isn't listed, sign up anyway — we'll notify you when we launch there.
Renting
How do I rent an item?
Browse items, select the one you want, choose your dates, and send a rental request. The lender will confirm within 24 hours.
How do I pick up the item?
Once your request is accepted, coordinate a pickup time and location with the lender directly through our messaging system.
What if the item doesn't fit?
Make sure to check the size and measurements listed before requesting. If there's a significant discrepancy, contact us within 2 hours of pickup.
Listing
What can I list on OutRenz?
Any clothing or accessory in good, clean condition. Dresses, suits, blazers, tops, skirts, bags, and more.
How do I price my items?
We suggest pricing at 10–20% of the item's retail value per day. Our listing tool will suggest a price based on similar items.
When do I get paid?
Payment is released to your account 24 hours after the renter confirms the item was returned safely.
Damage & Disputes
What if an item is returned damaged?
Document the item's condition at pickup and return. If damage occurs, open a dispute through the app within 24 hours of return.
Who is responsible for damage?
Renters are responsible for returning items in the same condition. OutRenz will mediate disputes fairly based on documented evidence.
